About Me

As a first-generation college graduate, education has always meant more to me than earning a degree. It represents sacrifice, resilience, opportunity, and the ability to create a different future not only for myself, but for my family and the students I serve today.

Growing up, higher education often felt unfamiliar and uncertain. There was no roadmap explaining admissions, financial aid, graduate school, or professional advancement. Much of my journey was built through persistence, self-discovery, and learning how to navigate spaces that once felt out of reach. Those experiences shaped the person and professional I am becoming.

Today, I work within higher education and international admissions, where I have the privilege of helping students pursue opportunities that can transform their own lives. My professional growth has been rooted in leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to supporting students through systems that can sometimes feel overwhelming or inaccessible. Alongside my professional journey, I continued my academic path by earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and I am now pursuing doctoral research focused on artificial intelligence, ethics, and equity in higher education admissions.

My research reflects the values that have guided my journey from the very beginning: transparency, integrity, equality, and access. As technology continues to shape education, I hope to contribute meaningful work that protects fairness and human-centered decision-making within admissions practices.

Looking ahead, I aspire to continue growing as a leader in higher education through research, enrollment leadership, and institutional innovation. More importantly, I hope my journey reminds other first-generation students that they belong in these spaces too. Every degree, every challenge, and every milestone represents something much larger than myself, it represents possibility.

This work is for the younger version of me, for my family, and for every student still learning that their dreams are valid.
